Buffalo Bill
Buffalo Bill's Wild West captured the interest of young men everywhere. They were ready to leave the farms to be cowboys like Bill. Bill Cody got his first experiences in the west delivering messages up and down the length of a wagon train. Next, he became an Indian fighter, than a rider for the Pony Express. He was also a scout for the US Army. His Wild West traveling show included reenactments of the Pony Express, Indian attacks on wagon trains, and stagecoach robberies as well as shooting exhibitions by Annie Oakley. This collection is a joint effort of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and Windham Fabrics. It was inspired by artifacts from the life of the pioneering American icon, Buffalo Bill.
