Emigrant Trail
The largest peacetime migration took place from around 1841 to the mid-1860's, when 350,000 Americans headed west. They hoped to make a better life for their families in Oregon, California, or Utah. Covered wagons became home as the journey stretched over 4-5 months. Crossing the mountain ranges was especially difficult and perilous. This collection salutes the emigrants who braved the western frontier. These unique designs are a symbol of the history and lore of America's prairie west.
